Some of those workers lived in states that required them to be members of the unions to even have a job at Hostess. They probably thought that their union was being unreasonable and are now just as mad as we are but with the added insult of being without a job. Hate the union, but be slow to condemn the workers is states where they don't have any other choice.

The ones in Indiana did not have to join a union. The union had them striking and standing out in the rain the other day and they still lost their jobs. Thank the union for losing thousands of jobs. I imagine Trumpka is living fat and sassy in his mansion living off union dues like all union bosses do.

Labor Unions have officially killed off the Twinkie. The company that makes the yummy treat announced today they will start to downsize operations (a.k.a. fire people) as a result of a long battle with union workers.

Hostess Brands Inc., the bankrupt maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread, said it had sought court permission to go out of business after failing to get wage and benefit cuts from thousands of its striking bakery workers.
