Has Ann Coulter Lost Her Mind?

Our best chance is with Romney. Newt has too much baggage. Santorum has no significant business experience. Neither Newt or Santorum has governed. We criticize Obama because he was so inexperienced. But Newt and Santorum are not much better, while Romney has proven himself as a businessman, as a CEO, and as a governor. For me, it's no contest.

Well, so the Republicans don't like Mitt. I suppose you think we love Santorum or Gingrich. So when Romney gets 40%, Santorum 30% and Gingrich 20%, you think we really like Santorum more? When they say 60% don't like Romney, that also means that 70% don't like Santorum. Where do you get off saying Romney has not succeeded, and Santorum has? Santorum has exactly the same qualifications as Obama. NO business experience. Solely a Washington insider. Never run a successful enterprise. He lost his last State election, and you want him to run against Obama? You have totally and completely discredited yourself.
Point #6. Are you saying that the Rev. Wright's religion, which Obama listened to for 20 years, is more mainstream than Mormonism? It's ironic that the media accuses Romney of being non-conservative, when he used his veto over 800 times in a liberal state. Still, no matter how you calculate it, he started with a $3 billion deficit, and ended with a $2 billion funded rainy day fund. No matter how you calculate it, he took the Olympics from the brink of disaster and ended with a very successful Olympics. Romney has talent. The nation should use it, regardless of his religion, and regardless of his changed positions.

If Not Romney, Who? If Not Now, When

Ann Coulter is right on. Romney is as conservative as anyone. He has a history of cutting spending. He's pro-life. He's against higher taxes. He's pro-marriage. He's anti-Obama care. He's talking about appointing constitutionalist judges. He's pro-America. He's pro-Israel. Solid on defense. He knows how to reduce government. He understands business. He knows how to turn things around. He's a great administrator, with a solid history of competence. I've voted conservative my whole life (63). I don't know what the right wing is looking for, but Romney is the only one who has the whole package. Read his 59 points. Every point would be an improvement over the Obama administration.

To end up with Romney as the candidate would be great. He's the only one with demonstrated ability to turn a large organization around. What he did with the Olympics was amazing, a demonstration of genius and acumen uncommon among politicians. He's governed as a conservative in a liberal state. He has the smarts to make his own fortune outside of politics. He's given his salary, both as governor, and as head of the Olympics, to charity. He's a solid conservative who can out-maneuver the opposition. He's a competent negotiator, knowledgeable in both economics and international politics. Read his book, "No Apologies."
If people can over-look the inflammatory rants of the Rev. Wright, they ought to be able to overlook any other candidates religion. Religion should not be an issue. The issue is competence. In this economy, with the dismal outlook for the United States job market, we ought to be concerned about one thing: does the candidate have the skill set we need to turn things around. And has he/she demonstrated the ability to do so. We don't need anybody else to try to learn on the job. We've seen what that brings.
