Ten Reasons to Avoid a 30 Year Mortgage

fadam Wrote: Apr 08, 2013 10:01 AM
It's amazing what all you can 'prove' and rationalize in print by ignoring some basic truths. The entire argument by Schlesinger is on assuming that you are going to deal with 2013 dollars over the entire 30 year period. Fact is that inflation will drive down the value of the dollar and you continue to make the same payments month after month. Come on Roger, there is no better deal than a 30 year mortgage at a fixed low 3.6525% interest rate!

Is America Still a Good Country?

Pat, your problem with this one is that you are barking up the wrong tree. There is but one reason for the institution of marriage, it was institute to protect both the family and society. The family was given privileges and benefits so it would raise its children on its own and not burden society with this task, which is us, the tax payers! Most people don't give a hoot about what two homos want to or are doing. The problem with all the hullabaloo is that the "Homos" think they have found a way not only to carry on 'in your face' in public, but they want us to subsidize their behavior as well. This is what California rightfully objected to. And so also should every Taxpaying voter!

"...Saddam had no WMD, had no role in 9/11, did not attack us, did not threaten us, and did not want war with us..." This was of no consequence for the NEOCONS whatsoever. They dragged Uncle Sap into this quagmire just the same and they are doing it again with IRAN...

For more about Pat Buchanan you might want to 'google' for the Review by Nelson Hultberg of "Cultural Marxism. The Corruption of America".

Patrick mentions the counter culture of the 60s, but is afraid to mention it by name, as he had done before in his introduction to the movie "Cultural Marxism: The Corruption of America."

Wow! Another great column from Pat Buchanan! That is except for one minor detail, as a title he should have used: "The NEOCON Obsession". Republicans are better than McCain, Lindsey and the rest of their ilk...

Pat bemoans the fact that the West and Christianity have suffered great losses and are in the process of being totally destroyed. The real reason he does not mention: http://www.scribd.com/doc/46896638/Chapter-II-The-Historical-Roots-of-%E2%80%9CPolitical-Correctness%E2%80%9D-by-Raymond-V-Raehn

A Republican Retreat -- or Rout?

You mean you had it with the warmongering neocons running the Republican Party. It's who Mitt sided with to please his old friend Bibi and money-bags Sheldon Adelson. You also should have known by now that Quisling was a conservative nationalist. not much different from the base of the Republican Party.

"The base wants no part of wars on Syria or Iran being pushed by leading Senate Republicans." Sounds to me like Ron Paul talking. Why was he not allowed to speak at the convention?
