Presidents Reagan and George H.W. Bush both addressed school children. The latter even asked children to write letters explaining how they could help him.

Also, the president won't be holding a "National News Conference" for school kids. Those are reserved for the media. This is simply an "address" or "back to school message".

I've been so entertained at the right's recent implosions that I just HAD to come see it all first-hand. Thank you, denizens of Town Hall, for giving me direct insight into the bats*it crazy world of today's conservative movement. A world where the man elected by a majority of Americans, certified by the Electoral College, and duly sworn into office by the chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court is somehow illegitimate and not worthy of the respect afforded to his predecessors. A world where white, heterosexual, Christian males are victims. A world where corporations are deemed more trustworthy than the government.

So I guess I'll join the minority of contrarians here to see if I can somehow dampen the echo chamber. To be honest,...
