The First Amendment also means I can say whatever I want about what it is you said. There's nothing wrong with Americans saying they want a non-US citizen who speaks ill of the freedom this country affords us - indeed, someone like you who wishes to curtail our freedoms - to leave the country. If you're afraid of the so-called "gun culture" in America then perhaps you should move back to England where guns are outlawed....and gun crime is rising.

I agree. The GOP should go along with EVERY SINGLE Obama proposal. This is the only way to show the libs that their economic theory doesn't work; otherwise, they'll simply say it didn't work due to GOP obstructionism (as they did this last campaign). Let them own this. Give them what they want and they can't shift blame elsewhere when it tanks. Hey, if we give them what they want and it works, then we'll have a great economy and we'll all be better off. If it doesn't work, we can say "Told you so", get Conservatives (notice I didn't say Republicans) in there who can fix the economy, then we'll all be better off. It's a win-win. Is government forcing children to pray in school Constitutional? This is a straw man argument. NOBODY wants to force anyone to pray in school and you know this. Denying children the right to voluntarily pray is certainly unconstitutional. Is "No Child Left Behind" constitutional? No. Neither is the Dept. of Education. Education should be handled at the State/local level. Can the Middle East be social engineered? Here, I'm a Republican. I'll answer these for you. Are ethanol subsidies a redistribution of wealth? Yes. We need to eliminate ALL government subsidies to ALL private corporations. Were the Bush bank bailouts socialism? Not by the definition of socialism, no. But they were a waste of taxpayer money and not something government should involve itself in.

Social Security and Medicare are officially government insurance programs. So the 15% of payroll taxes of which you speak are, technically, not taxes but are Federally mandated insurance premiums.

Law abiding citizens with guns can stop it. States which have enacted concealed carry laws have seen dramatic reductions in crime rates in general and violent crime in particular. In fact, the places where violent crime is the highest are also the places which have the strictest gun control regulations. This is NOT a coincidence. It's causal. If you remove the ability of law abiding citizens to defend themselves, crime will rise.

"Illegal alien" is an actual legal term. It refers to a person inside this country who has violated immigration law to be here and who is a citizen of another country. A "legal alien" is a citizen of another country who is inside this country and has complied with immigration law to be here. Stop pandering and using disingenuous arguments. You know exactly what is meant by the term "illegal alien" and know it's neither racist nor dehumanizing. It defines a legal status.
