These liberals are never as smart as they think they are.
These polls showing a low approval of Congress are nothing new. I wouldn't pay a bit of attention to them. If there's a poll that shows what people think of THEIR Congressman, and it's unfavorable, well, that's completely different.
...had never been selected by SCOTUS." What do you base that comment on? A group of newspapers led by the New York Times counted all the Florida votes in 2000, and found that Bush/Cheney had, indeed, won the state, and all it's electoral votes It's a waste of time pointing out irrefutable facts to the MoveOn.org crowd. Please, enlighten us. What do base your statement on?
If Barack Obama can run for president - and get elected - after serving just a few months as a US senator, why can't Marco Rubio?

Munck is a real piece of work. He get's all indignant about pointing out who's promoting NN: " " Everything sounds logical until you follow the money." So basically you couldn't come up with any arguments against my points, so you decided to point out that some of the people in favor of NN are people you don't like. Strong debating strategy. " Then, he goes one on better the person he criticised by resorting to namecalling: "You folks go ahead and continue to pool ignorance." I think that tells us everything we need to know about Robert G Munck and his ideas.

I don't see a problem with that. Knowing who's behind a regulatory initiative speaks volumes about what the real agenda is. BTW, I came up with arguments against your points - see below.

No, it shouldn't be allowed. But you haven't presented any evidence that it's happneing. Or even that there's a real danger that it will happen. Would... could... should... The misdeeds of corparations are things to be concerned about. But government regulation is not something that has a halo around it either. Government regulation is ALWAYS a tool of those in power to help their friends and punish their opposition. You better be sure there's a solid, tangible reason before resorting to it.
I love how these pro-union types keep reminding us about unions brought us the 40 hour work week. That's ancient history. About as releveant as reminding everyone that it was the democratic party that opposed equal rights for black people (if you doubt this, check out how Al Gore Sr.and many other democrats voted on the 1964 Voting Rights Act). The question is, what have unions done for us lately? At least in the private sector, not much good. Which explains why the percentage of private sector workers who belong to a union has been declining for decades. So, just what have they done for us lately? They've devastated the auto industry to the point where 2 of 3 major auto manufacturers went bankrupt. While this was happening,...
