Boy, does THIS article put things in perspective. I agree with so many posts...SO MANY people actually DO prefer Government infiltration over Freedom. On my way to work many mornings I see a man in a wheelchair having his morning "ride" along the the curb. I don't know him and what his affliction is but I worry that he is alone and in the street and you know, any fool driver could hit him or any fool in general could take advantage of him. I bet he would love the opportunity just to be able to stand and set up a tent! Life has no guarantees. Never has. People are who they are because they MADE their lives. and yes, life has many struggles along the way. Nobody hands you your life. You MAKE it, rich or poor, for better or worse.

I agree!!!! There was no classier first lady than Laura Bush. What a polished and sincere person. As for Dubya, he had to find his way through something new in our lives...a real war on terror. There are no books that tell a POTUS how to do that. POTUS and Congress have to figure that out themselves. He fumbled through a lot but he let the enemy know they were not welcome here and we will fight them on THEIR turf! He stood up for America! He had nerves of steel when it came to being the AMERICAN Pres. He said repeatedly that he was elected to protect the people of America and that is what he will do. No doubt! Not like this traitor Obomba! And as for supposed "war crimes," the problem with war in the 21st Century is imbedded...

You bet! They burn Bibles, terrorize Christians, the works! And from what I can tell, the Christians in the Middle East haven't done anything to incite this treatement...they're just Christians in a Muslim World. How's that for a truckload of unprovoked intolerance?

Men...you're ALL absolutely correct! Islam hates everyone who isn't Islam and we are all infidels that need to die. Their mission is to conquer the world. And they are the most intolerant bunch on the earth. Since no Qu'ran burning took place I wonder if they will apologize for burning the American flag and the effigy of that pastor! They don't even care to wait until the actual event happens...they react to the mere thought of it! If they could only be more patient they wouldn't waste so much "outrage." I hate to see "wasted outrage!"

Isn't that interesting. I wonder where in the Library these books would be shelved...under "Adult Material" or where? Instead of teaching explicit sexuality to kids in school how about teaching the consequences of practicing that explicit sexuality! I'm sure the schools wouldn't teach a 6-yr old about a pregnancy that results from having sex...they would be too young to understand that kind of responsibility. But the schools will teach them about all the sexual stuff and different relationships without batting an eye. Is there some logic here? And as for your daughter, just what we want impressionable teenagers reading...explicit sex books. Pretty soon we won't need any adult stores anymore...just search your kids' dept of ed....

Fred...you're absolutely right! It IS the people USING the teachings to justify what horrors they commit against others. The Bible and Qu'ran etc. are hundreds of years old. They are full of stories about "life lessons." At least the Bible is. But there are so many that would use a few words to fuel their own mania "in the name of God or Allah." And it is exactly those people that are commiting the horrors. They pervert the teachings to justify their own hatred and vile acts.

Jesus was Jewish. And his followers were Jewish. "Christ" is a title. After Jesus died those that wanted to continue following His teachings had to differentiate between themselves and the Jews who did not want to follow. So they called themselves Christians, "followers of Christ." A little Jesus-trivia! And as far as so many religions, what is called the "Orthodox" Church (Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, etc.) is the original church. Rome separated from the original 5 centers of Christianity around the 11th century (10-something) for many reaons...too long for here...many books written on that subject...hence the term, Roman Catholics. But if you want to go back as far as possible to the "beginning" visit your local Greek...

Medical care is not a right. It is a necessity in today's world. Many people do not want it and probably have enough money to dole out on their own if they get sick. Most of us need health insurance though. But if someone doesn't want to buy it then NO fines or anything else should be levied on that person. This current government of ours is making up stuff as they go along. They're not tuned into anything or anyone! What a trainwreck. Get this Obomba group out NOW and get his face off my TV for good!

I agree! With the USA recruiting Muslim terrorists it lets the Middle East take a breather for a while...sort of a coffee break! But notice...before we even HEARD of this Pastor and his burning party, Afghans had ALREADY heard of it, gotten their hands on an effigy of the Pastor, and already burned the thing! I knew about this for 24 hours and the Muslims were already retaliating and threatening us with the usual "death to all" stuff. Wow...they're fast! Just think if this Pastor decides not to burn the Koran. All that retaliation for nothing. Maybe those Muslims will apologize then. Whad'ya think? That is one sick reilgion.
