Market forces will never be a valid component in health care as long as someone is able to get treatment or tests with someone else paying for it, whether it be tax payers or other members of an insurance group. All this talk of spiraling health care costs yet nobody talks about the obvious reasons that health care is so expensive in this country. You can get rid of every insurance company and health care costs will still go up. Why? Because it is the best. People from other countries, who can afford it, still come here for treatment.
