Balance, sorry but you really are a typical liberal. Does the site of a gun threaten you that much? I know the situation your talking about and it is much to do about nothing. The guy ws openly carrying his legally owned pistol why do you have an issue with that? The pistol stayed in the holster, the guy was not a nut or a crazy etc. Personally I feel safer when I know I'm surrounded by people that are both willing and able to protect themselves. Just like the churchnin Denver found out, it was a god sent to have someone carrying when that crazy guy tried to come in and shoot up the place, allot people were able to go home and still be alive because of that. I don't get the liberals that are ok with:" when seconds count, the police...

I've listed mine in two parts, on as proposed additions or changes to your 15 above, and part two for items to add: Proposed Changes: To point three: add, "each year" to the end of that. However, although I say fund the hell out of defense, much work needs to be done from a cost perspective. All defense bids should have the language "With the exception of scope creep, all cost overruns shall be paid by bidder" (Keeps contractors for knowingly underbidding). Also, lowest bidder should not automatically get accepted, you get what you pay for- always. 10: I agree with returning land to states, however, I firmly believe that we should all strive to keep as much as of our undeveloped land just that, undeveloped. All national parks should...

I am absolutely baffled by A.A. I mean, basically, it's the legalese way of saying "Yes, whites are better than you , so you need help." Call me crazy, but to me, that is not only total B.S. (we ARE all created equal), that's blatant racism!

Neal, You are absolutely correct. However, I believe that with the election of BHO and the sudden realization that "elections have consequences," and pretty horrendous ones at times, has finally stirred / a woken / prodded that silent majority of citizens who had fallen asleep (politically) at the helm. This silent majority has finally realized that in neglecting their duty as citizens to vote and pay attention has allowed these fringe groups of academics and leeches to derail this great county and jump on the slip -n- slide to entitlements and welfare. They have realized that, even though our lives are already stretched thin with 50-60 hour work weeks, kids, family, and all of the other issues of life that take up cycles, that we...
Tyler, I have a better idea, why don't you go watch "How Obama got elected" http://www.howobamagotelected.com/media-malpractice-obama-voter-video.asp A really eye opener, let me tell ya!
Sorry Hal, facts do kinda support it and here is one great example. Kennesaw , GA, is a place where every single HOH is Required by law to own a firearm and keep it in their house. The City has been murder free for over 25 years since the passing of this requirement. Oh and as a side product, home invasions are also much lower than in similar sized cities. I know, I know, facts are such stubborn things, they keep getting in the way of your opinions. http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=41196
Loony,
What has the federal government ever done that has been: 1) At or below the price tag they said it would be 2) efficient 3) Effective?
Answer - nothing.

The government is incapable of being as effective or efficient as any private corporation. They are able to say a program is only gonna cost "x" when the actual cost is x^10000 and yet continue to get away with it. Not only do we , the tax payers, then have to pony up more money to makeup for the short-fall but in the end it is never enough. This simply doesn't happen in private corporation. Costs are heavily monitored and when a department starts to spend to much , being unable to print or just borrow more, we have to adjust the budget by deferring purchases,...
cottoneyed,
You also notice the strange phenomenom that happens with lonney tunes. So vocal in the beginning but had a tendency vanishes like a fart in the wind when direction questions / answers are asked or given.

Dan,
I never made any proclaiming about wanting anyone's posts to be succinct, that was all you. Personally, I enjoy reading the lengthier comments and opinion that people posts. When you have something to say, just spit it all out, I don't mind scrolling down or just skipping it in the event that I get bored. Also, I have never seen any forum or commentary that doesn't quickly go off topic.

James,
Thanks for proving that you really do not understand not only this bill, but business, or reality. First, I will try to teach you something, the meaning of the word; Insurance.

Insurance: A promise of compensation for specific potential future losses in exchange for a periodic payment.

The keyword is potential, meaning not definite or probably. Forcing insurance companies to take on someone with a pre-existing condition is not insurance, is a know liability that they will have to pay out for. Should car insurance companies be forced to insure cars after a wreck has taken place? Should they also be forced to insure a driver who has been an 100 accidents or 50 speeding tickets?

You are kidding yourself...
Should we all just comment with witty one-liners that lack substance and fore-though? Since when did TH institute or hire a "bloviating officer?"
Might I suggest just using the scroll wheel on your mouse with extreme prejudice.
