I disagree. Net debtors always gain in times of inflation. INCREASE your debt along with everyone else. When hyperinflation kicks in your mortgage balance will be the same as the price of a pack of chewing gum.

Fed to DOUBLE their money printing. Buy Canadian and Australian ETFs, NOT Euros! Get out of the dollar now! Don't say I didn't warn you.
I often wonder why commenters here cite the Christian God as the answer to the perils facing our nation. When I look at the Christian similar faiths it seems to me that they believe God will wipe the slate clean on earth or else take the good guys to somewhere else nice. So why bother to fix our ecology or our economy? This is a fundamental disconnect between Christian conservatism and my own brand. I'm not content to simply let God sort it out. He seems rather indifferent to our plight or our actions.

GOP Convention

The GOP can live on as a minority party but will never again win the presidency or Senate while being run like a country club. The shameful thuggery toward the Liberty Wing at the national convention should make us all ask what is so objectionable about Ron Paul's values that it was necessary to change the rules to freeze out his followers and anyone like them in the future. 23% of Americans self-identify as libertarian yet the Republican establishment felt that "unity" through exclusion was better than unity through inclusion.
Institutional bailouts dwarf welfare and food stamps. Trillions have been handed out to banks and investment firms. No wonder the top five donors to BOTH campaigns are giant banks (Goldman-Sachs tops that list). Do you really expect this to change under either Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum? They are bought and paid for and the banksters are playing both sides. They can't lose! Except when they ride this tired old horse of an economy until it drops dead from exhaustion. Vote Gary Johnson & send a message.
Not helpful or informative, Fred.
You should attack the ideas to prompt a thoughtful examination of their validity. Ad hominem attacks on the sources accomplish nothing. The premise; that Obama's and Bernanke's fiscal policies may lead to a depression; brings up a worthy topic, regardless of who posed it. Where is your refutation?
Comments on this thread completely miss the point. Romney=Obama as far as fixing the debt. Since either will lead us to a minimum of 18 years of continuing deficits our fiscal fate is sealed. The best thing we can do is boost the vote for Johnson or Goode so voters can see that a rational 3rd party that will tackle the overspending has popular support. That way we won't all despair; we'll know that others don't approve of Romney's $2 Trillion increase in the military and guaranteed Iran War. I prefer the Libertarians; they have an established party system with candidates all up and down the ticket. After Romney runs us broke we can continue the exponential growth of this party during the coming depression & install a LP president.

You're joking, right? Women's rights in the Bible? Like when Lot sends his daughters to be gang raped? Or how ancient leaders would sell their wives to be slaves for 6 years in order to satisfy personal debts? Islam and Christianity (which has killed millions over their faith) share the same ancient texts so on't try to one-up Muslims with how much nicer to women, etc. you are. Wow; I wish people would actually read the entire Bible and Quran + some history before shooting off comments like this.
