Poor Caveat Emptor, he is like Saul, kicking against the proddings and pricking of his conscience. If one doesn't believe in something, how can he push so hard against it? A true atheist simply shrugs his shoulders and chuckles in amusement when he sees anyone practice their religion. It affects him less than a mosquito. But for those caught up in their sin, and don't like to be reminded that they have fallen short, THOSE "kick against" the prickling of their hearts and minds. I like the fact that they have taken to putting up some sort of display during this time of year, trying to offset the Nativity scenes they see as threats...

I'm not pushing hard against anything. My argument has been that Christmas isn't Christian. That puritans rightly viewed it as unchristian and that Christians practice idolatry when they celebrate this Greaco/Romen/Druidic/Norse, celebration.

Jesus would have been lighting a Manirah for Hanukkah.

Christians celebrate the birth of God's promised Servant who took all the punishment for all of our sins upon himself. They do not celebrate a Greco,Roman, Druidic, Norse festival.

Why do some atheists embarrass themselves year after year trying to eradicate Christmas from American culture? Why do they make themselves societal hemorrhoids during this hallowed season? Is it because they are crusaders for equality, secularism’s saviors and humanism’s heroes? I’m sure that’s what they tell themselves when they’re pouting on their couches all alone on Christmas Eve after every single one of their friends has dumped them for being a rabid jackass.
