Comparing Accutane and cannabis is a complete straw man. First, most of the serious risks of isotretinoin (Accutane) have been known about since 1983 when the drug was first approved by the FDA. Second, yes, Google cannabis and you will find a lot of claims of health risks, but you will also find several recent, more credible studies that contradict the earlier ones showing that cannabis users do not have increased mortality, or risk of cancer (even long-time cannabis smokers). I have made a longer rebuttal on my blog.
