Ken, I'm not an Obama supporter. I'm guessing I was quoting Ayn Rand before you were born. And for sure I was quoting her before Paul Ryan was born. My screen name has been the same on every website I've ever visited for 10 years. I have nothing to hide. I've posted on TH for many months. If you can find a single post in which I suggest anyone vote for BHO, post it again right here. Otherwise, go call someone else a liar and stop making a fool of yourself.

eric, you keep telling everyone that you're a libertarian. Maybe, but you're a liberal libertarian. All anyone has to do is click on your screen name and read your past posts. To paraphrase Darth Vader, "Your posts betray you."

Eric,

Unless you live somewhare where one vote can swing it against Obama, go right ahead, I applaud your principles. I know it doesn't matter whether I approve or not but I understand where you're coming from.

Leisha,

I'm not voting for Johnson because I don't like Romney. I'm voting for Johnson because I happen to believe as he does on about 90% of the issues. I've only had that experience once or twice in 40 years of voting. I think if I take the time to vote, just once I ought to be able to do so without holding my nose.

Even if you're in Texas, where you are sure Romney will win. Bur really, do you think anyone will pay attention to what a few folks in Texas do with protest votes and make any meaningful change? The problem was, we had no GREAT candidate, only a slate of mediocre ones. Until we can convince truly great candidates to brave the firestorm, we will have to settle for what we can get. Regardless of your perception of Romney's shortcomings, we cannot risk letting Obama have four more years to dismantle this country. Spend that energy making sure Romney AND all the Republican congressional candidates get elected. Whine about wanting a better candidate when less is at stake.

A vote for anyone other than Romney IS a vote for Obama.
Much puzzling behavior by Barack Obama falls into place when we go behind the image that he projects ("Obama 1") to the factual reality of the man's whole life and thrust ("Obama 2").

Obama himself is well aware of the nature and importance of his image. In his own words, "I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views." An 18th century philosopher put the matter bluntly: "When I speak, I put on a mask. When I act, I am forced to take it off."

Many of Barack Obama's actions as President of the...
