Wayne, Yes, but Iran's proud history tends to have been more academic than military. For military expansionism look toward countries like Italy, England, Spain, Germany, Japan, and from time to time the United States. Pakistan is without doubt very worrisome. But you can't put the genie back in the bottle, so we must look for pragmatic, creative ways to deal with them. War, in all but a very limited set of circumstances, is never a good approach.
