The Art of the Impossible

Incredulous, if that were always true, we'd have much better medical outcomes in this country since we pay more per capita than any other advanced country. But the fact is, we don't.
Gary, do you believe that every move a college kid makes is indicative of what he or she will be as an adult? What then to make of my friends who were universally into sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll 40 years ago, then grew up to run businesses, raise amazing kids, and contribute in myriad ways to a thriving city? Were you never young and at least somewhat foolish? Or were you born sans imagination and spirit?

If George W. Bush Were President Today

GWB was the gift (from the Supreme Court) that just kept on giving. Problem is, almost all of his "gifts" were catastrophic failures: 9/11, Katrina, the trillion dollar party in Iraq, botched war in Afghanistan, housing industry collapse, mushrooming national debt, then the cherry on the cake which was the biggest financial industry meltdown since 1929. And the claim that "he kept us safe" is simply untrue. Refresh your memory on the terror attacks duing Bush's tenure here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_the_United_States#2000s Anyone who misses Bush's stewardship has either a very short memory or very powerful drugs in their system.
Yes, Obama is in love with Muslims. That's why he's sending $8.5 million/day in aid to Israel.
Presidents don't conrol the FBI. Just dig up Nixon and ask him.

Common, That's a boatload of disinformation. Gun laws in Israel are far more restrictive than ours -- extensive background checks (medical and criminal), waiting periods, restrictions on the number of guns that can be owned, etc. Here's the real story, courtesy of the Jerusalem Post -- http://www.jpost.com/International/US-gun-backers-cite-Israeli-school-security

John, That isn't so. Many of us who railed against Bush's free-spending ways continue to be extremely unhappy about the spending trajectory the government is still following. We believe in the Bowles-Simpson approach and are dismayed that members of both parties have ignored and/or torpedoed it.

Joycey doesn't explain things because she's apparently incapable of writing whole paragraphs.

And God frequently does take innocent life. Makes you feel good about God, doesn't it?
