Almost all of the mass shootings that have occurred in recent memory were committed by young men on or withdrawing from psychotropic prescription drugs. One exception is the Fort Hood killer. He was motivated by his "god." Sad that so many misinformed would have the government deny law abiding citizens their Constitutional right to firearms. The clueless and Godless search endlessly for a motive. They must open their eyes to the reality that evil exists. A bad man with a gun can only be stopped by a good man with one. See " Innocents Betrayed " to understand why we need to defend to the death our second amendment. If outlawing guns could make us "safe." We should have a drug free society, no?

Nothing strikes deeper to the heart than the loss of children. It's one more reason why the horror in Newtown, Conn., has hurt our nation so badly.

I do not believe there is any human suffering like the suffering of a parent who loses a child.

I know it from personal experience. I lost a beautiful, young teenage daughter almost 10 years ago, and the pain never goes away.

When tragedy strikes, we want to do something. It is a natural human instinct that when we suffer, we conclude it is because something is broken and to want...
