when you consider the amount of concrete, steel, copper, and other materials that are required to "bring the energy to market".

Windmills require large concrete footings, lots of steel, big coils of copper, large carbon fiber blades, and a huge infrastructure investment to get the energy from the wind swept plains and deserts back to the grid. All of that for a really small energy payback.

Take that into consideration and all of a sudden drilling/pumping oil and digging/transporting coal seems much better considering the large energy payback.

...the real battles are still ahead.

Mr. Adams,

Thanks for your hard work. I would like to add to your work load. You mention taking down the various minority centers. That is a good next step, but your goals need to be set higher. You need to take down the false sciences and departments where the true agenda is indoctrination in political ideology. I'm talking about the women's studies and various minority studies curriculum.

Next, we need to get true diversity of thought in the social and political sciences. We will not solve many of our social problems in this country, while allowing the left to use acedemia to push study after study and monopolize so many tax dollars to promote socialism and the ever...

Denying Rush ownership will only hurt the NFL as it is refusing investment and insulting the intellegence of their customers. Worse yet, it was an unforced error.

Meanwhile, the NFL continues to employ the likes of Michael Vick and many other felons. It's so bad that some have started calling the NFL the National Felony League.

This whole incident just goes to show that the leftists in our nation are willing to go outside the lines and employ character assassins in order to win. Where are the refs when we need them.

If government health care is anything like government schools, none of this will matter anyway. We'll all be too sick or dead to care anymore, and the doctors and nurses will be too stupid to do anything about it.

At least we'll have the politicians and the bureaucrats to make sure we increase our taxes to pay for improving our hospitals. It's for the kids you know.

1. Stop the foreign aid

2. Stop the subsidies

3. Consolidate all welfare and spending on the poor into 1 department so we know how much we actually spend on the poor. Eliminate all redundancies and cap the total spend on any given household to some logical number relative to the poverty level.

4. Bring the troops home starting with those in Japan, Korea, and Germany.

5. Cut every Federal Department not mentioned in the Constitution (Education, Labor, and Housing/Urban Development for starters)

6. Stop spending Social Security surpluses.

7. Stop paying dues to anti-US organizations like the UN and WTO.

8. Put a tax on political contributions made to candidates and their parties. ...

When Obama relates terrorists to poor people, doesn't he portray the negative stereotype of poor people that they are criminals? If so, isn't he the bigot?

Thanks David Harsanyi for standing up for poor people everywhere by pointing out that poor people should not be characterized as criminals as Obama has done.

Personally liberty aside for a moment...

New York's desire to innoculate their health care workers from H1N1 and thereby protect their health care system is understandable. BUT, to require all health care workers get the same flu shot at essentially the same time is just as dangerous as everyone getting the flu.

I know the odds are low, but if there was a problem with the shot, then New York's entire health care system could be brought down and all of New York left without health care.

NEVER PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET!

The people making these decisions have obviously never run a business, manufactured products, or had to implement a "failsafe".

A failsafe is a device or process that allows...

and the trees are concerned that limiting CO2 will limit one of their basic necessities. You see, trees need CO2. It is part of what allows them to grow. If the EPA limits CO2, then the EPA will be limiting the growth of trees. That would be a crime against the trees and a crime against the planet.

End this assault against the trees. End the EPA.
