Joy! If this stands it is going to force him to work more with Republicans. His attitude so far has been he can skirt around Congress at will so he really did not have much incentive to moderate and work with the other side.

Please!! We conservatives lived through an 8 year liberal temper tantrum known as the Bush years. You should just be grateful we don't treat Obama the same way you treated Bush.

So now we are supposed to work with you when you reject all of our ideas and your fix is fundamentally in a direction we think will lead to disaster?? Really? Hey let's write up a bill you fundamentally disagree with and you can show your bipartisan nature by having little to no input on it and you vote on it at the end to give us some political cover and well you know... show us you can work with the other side. How about we ask that of you?

"Mitch "The Turtle" McConnell did you no favors with his absurd proclamation about the primary goal of Republicans was to defeat Obama" Yeah, and you know what else is a duty of an opposition party? To make their opponents President a one term President. Yet, you libs act like us saying that is some extreme statement. Did the Democrats want Bush to be a one term President? Why would the opposition party run a Presidential candidate if their goal is to have their opponents candidate serve two terms? This was/is just another attempt by the left to make ordinary behavior appear extreme only when Republicans do it.
I usually don't like to engage in name calling when debating, but in your case I will make an exception. You are a pompous as$ that is not as much on the side of angels as you seem to want to give yourself credit for. Why don't you let God decide who is on the side of angels I think that is His job not yours. So just how tenable is the President's way? How will you collect all these guns? How will you stop a black market from selling them. We can't keep illegal aliens out of this country but we can keep illegal guns from coming in? So if drugs are illigal and still any kid can go out and buy drugs on the street, then what makes you think guns would be any different? Have you ever used an illegal drug?
So how is that ban on marijuana working out for us? Yeah, it is as effective as a ban on guns would be. Outlaw guns and there would be a huge blackmarket in them. Then only the criminals and police would have them. LOL Only a liberal could see the futility in banning drugs and then demand a ban on guns thinking it would be any different.

Graet strawman. No Republican says governtment does anything right. There are things that the government can do and in fact does do very well. The military is in fact one of the few things the Federal Government is Constitutional mandated to do. The problem is the more things government takes on that it is not really set up to do well and should not be doing, the worse it does on doing the things it should be doing well. BTW: I would be willing to bet you have nerver served in the military.
Ok, let me explain it to you. Clinton had some very good economies. That is true. It is also very similar to Bush. The first 7 years of the Bush presidency we set an economic record for 52 months straight economic growth. The two have something else in common BOTH Clinton and Bush had recessions at the end of their terms. Clinton had the Dot com bubble burst and the economy went into a recession which George Bush "inherited". Nobody says of Clinton's economies that they were failures because there was a recession at the end of his presidency, so why do you do it to Bush? Secondly, the thing that made the recession so bad at the end of the Bush presidency had nothing to do with his policies. It was caused by the subprime motgage scandal.
That is the most idiotic thing to say. Oh course the opposition party wants to make any President a one termer. That is why every 4 years we have an election and both parties run candidates they want to win. He can't work with Congress because he told them to get in the back seat (of the imaginary car he always goes on about), told them he won, he doesn't copromise enough and then vilifies and trashes them daily. Not leadership qualities that make people want to work with you.
Wow, when you can't debate the issues then just call people names. Whether Chris Christie is fat or skinny has nothing to do with whether Obama deserves another term in office. Judging by your response you want Obama to win because he is your guy, But you know he does not deserve to.
