No one who supported Medicare expansion, bailouts, TARP, and government ownership of the biggest insurance company in the world, is a conservative. Period.

And we KNOW Obama wants to use the public option to wipe out private insurance, because he said so himself, in plain English. As did Barney Frank, and that nutty congresswoman.

To Jeffrey in MI: 1. The federal government does not force you to insure your car, your state government does. 2. No one is forcing you to drive, so whether or not you are required to buy auto insurance depends on your choice of whether to drive or not. 3. Unlike the choice of whether or not to drive, government-mandated health insurance essentially imposes a tax on you just for breathing. And as Shapiro correctly points out, the federal government has no authority to do that.
