Social Security is sucks. Consider this: You cannot use it to live on cheaper country abroad. If you try to use it to, say, live in Argentina, you must go back to US every month because after a month, Social Security will stop send you any money. But why do you want to live on cheaper country such as Argentina? To save money, especially in these economy. But you shall forget that, because after factoring the cost going back and forth, you'll end up losing money. All the while, you are a lower income retiree, you do to save some of the money. But forget that, after you paid Social Security your whole life, you just cannot have it. Social Security is not your rights. Social Security is government scam.

Sadly, yes. I don't see any government regulations since the meltdown that targeted to plug the loophole. All I can see are measures that enhanced and widened the loophole, and you and your socialist comrades called that the required "regulations". La la la land ....

Government intervention is what caused current slump. Just like Roosevelt did, Obama unleashed a horde of regulation that discouraged investment. And as always, socialism viewed private properties as government loaned properties, which can be taken when they needed votes (or mob on the street). That's not a recipe of growth, that's a recipe of disaster.

On kool aid, eh? Intervention was what caused the Depression. From Hoover no lowering wage to Roosevelt various attempt to discourage layoffs, from the Fed artificial hike on banks credit requirement to Roosevelt (again) various attempt on price controls. The Great Depression is a tome of government intervention.
