Furthering the absurdity, Obama WON'T meet with Netanyahu when the Iraeli P.M. visits the U.S. later in Sept. http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSBRE88A10B20120912?irpc=932 What is "unusual" about this decisive snub?
This is the most apalling statement (apology!) and it's made by the U.S. Embassy (I'm sure they'd like to stay alive, so I'll give them that leeway): "The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions." "We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others." "Others" meaning Muslims. ALL other religions - Christians/Catholics, Jews, Buhdists, Hindus, etc. - are FAIR GAME when "hurt feelings" are involved. Ironically, none of the other religions are killing people in the name of hurt feelings.
The omission and subsequent reinsertion of God and Jerusalem in the 2012 DNC platform was utterly staged. A totally planned "event" at the DNC. The omission was no gaffe and the reinsertion was not unplanned. It was a theatrical event meant to prove that Obabma credibly believes in God and Jerusalem as the permanent capital of Israel, neither of which is actually true. Unfortunately it wasn't planned well enough to circumvent the call for 3 votes on the change. Poor Tony Villar. If only they'd told him to call it 2/3, without question, on the first vote! What a show.
Yes! Thank you, Don't Tread On Me3! Other than the probably-unexpected majority of boos to the change in the platform, the entire platform issue looked utterly staged, and there is no question in my mind that it was. I am impressed with the political genius that decided to pull off the theatrical act in order to make Obama appear to hold views he clearly does not. We only need to hear DWS say repeatedly that Obama was at the helm in changing the platform back. The logical conclusion for viewers is supposed to be that Obama really does believe in God and he really really does believe Jerusalem is the permanent capital of Israel.
