A couple of other things to ponder are the carbon footprint made in mining and refining and then disposing of the batteries. It takes an enormous amount of energy to produce these batteries. Average these facts into the overall carbon footprint of the Volt and it doesn't look so good anymore.

Nobody has even mentioned the Millions of dollars that the illegals pull directly out of the economy and send back to old Mexico.

Probably the best thing to happen is let the democrat way operate at full throttle. Tax and regulate business into the stone age and when they leave for greener pastures, raise the taxes more on the survivors. If everyone is gone the only ones the Chicago thugs can squeeze is each other and all the other states that have favorable business climates will be the winners with all the new businesses.

I generally vote R just to keep the dark side out, but have had no real conservatives to vote for.This election has focused on the pres, but really needs to work on the house and senate. Even if O gets back in, a strong house can hamstring him unless he decides to keep doing end runs. If he keeps that up, the people will only take so much before revolting.

Don't delude yourself. The minute something is banned, it becomes available on the black market. Examples are drugs, alchohol and a slew of other things. Only the people that are law abiding ever adhere to the rules. Name the country where guns are not available to someone wanting one. Criminals are never prohibited from getting guns. Better to protect yourself than die waiting for a cop. What do you do with the statistical unrefutable fact that violent crime numbers plummet almost the instant that carry laws are passed? Most of the anti gun folks live in a deluded, wishful state where criminals under some magic spell can't get a gun. Sorry It isn't going to happen on this planet in your life.

Advocating and observing are two different things. I am only reminded that our founding fathers thought revolt was a viable option when the Govt. gets out of hand, hence the right to keep and bear arms. At this point, I don't see our govt working as it should. No impeachments for clearly impeachable offences, A pres. that thinks he can end run around the constitution at will, elections are bought and paid for, etc, etc, etc. We can't elect them out. May have to run them out.

We are not only angry at Ovomit, we are angry at the pandering , progressive republicans that were put in office, only to fail to cut government and taxes. We most certainly do have a plan and our utmost concern is for the progress of America. Cutting opressive taxes and the ponderous size of government will aid the progress of America, freeing up capital to be invested in the private sector. Tell me, how are all the trillions in govt. bailouts working for you? If this money were in private sectir hands, this economy would be booming.
