I love the "'young girls having sex" argument.....l just picture a crank old bat, getting all exasperated...."it's all those little sluts tempting young men!" Does this same lame argument apply to college aged people? Or even young professionals fresh out into the world? People who have their whole lives and futures ahead of them, but for a mistake now have to put thier entire futures aside? For a child that could end up being resented and unloved? You Christians would really want that? Or is that just out-of-sight, out-of-mind? Here is a newsflash.......if you are old enough to pick up a gun and fight for American imperialism then you are old enough to make decisions on your own body!

College aged people and young professionals have the capacity to adjust their lives AND futures to accommodate a child. They have the choice to accept the child and to love him or to make damn sure that EVERYONE (including the child) knows how miserable they are about their circumstances. If they choose the latter, THEY are the ones with the problem, not the child.

What if those "college aged people" or "young professionals with their whole futures ahead of them" want and plan a child. What if, after the birth, they realize that instead of an adoring goo-goo doll, they have a demanding, dependent little person that doesn't live up to their expectations. Using your "logic" then they get to suffocate the baby with a pillow.

BTW, Elvis, I DID grow up being resented and unloved by my menopause aged mom. I struggled through my young adult days with low self esteem, depression and anxiety. I made progress in conquering my destructive thinking and I'm DAMN glad that *I* had the CHOICE to do so. I have a loving marriage and a wonderful family. I would NOT have had any of that had someone made the choice FOR me that my life wasn't worth living!

So is my husband and so is my daughter.

Asking people to show self-restraint is an argument that is appropriate for all ages. Again, your over the top inability to grasp a logical argument is astounding.

I write these words chiefly to women and girls who have had an abortion. Still, it is my humble hope and honest prayer that anyone weighing this life-versus-death choice might also read them with an open mind and a hearing heart.

I share these truths in love. Some of you already know them. Others deny them.

Yet truths they remain.

It is through obedience to Christ and in the authority of His Spirit that I write you this letter. It may be difficult to read, but I pray you will read it.

First, let us dispense with the oft-asserted notion that,...
