Here is another about we outlaw abortions and and make every woman carry to term. Regardless of rape or incest. Then YOU holier than thou christians can pick up the bill for the influx of single moms and orphans going forward? Deal?

it would be fine if we also passed a law making the father of the child brought to term by the unwed mother pay a $500,000 dollar fine for each child he procreates with a woman to whom he is not married. it is my personal belief that the two laws together would reduce both the number of babies murdered in the womb and the number of single mothers. any reason you would protest two laws.

i realize personal responsiblity for one's actions is a foreign concept to some. but it is not only a valid concept, it is the only concept of behavior that does not result in a proliferation of anti-social consequences.

the fact that you have difficulty understanding the concept of personal responsibily is the most likely reason you post nonsense.

Eddie if you are old enough to fight for American imperialism I think your personal responsibility should not be held against you.

I would rather deal with babies saved from murder, than continue to witness the moral decline of America.

SO when the Dems talk about tax no longer have anything to say.
BlackSheepPatriot Wrote: Dec 10, 2012 1:34 PM
Your argument is a red herring, This has nothing to do with tax hikes.

No, because there's more to the question than that.

What a lot of us "holier than thou Christians" would prefer is that so many young girls weren't getting pregnant in the first place. (Surely you don't think the bulk of those abortions are from married women who can't afford birth control? Or do you?)
ELViking Wrote: Dec 10, 2012 1:15 PM
surely not. But when you say "What a lot of us "holier than thou Christians" would prefer is that so many young girls weren't getting pregnant in the first place" Let's be are not talking better access to birth control, are you......
DCM in FL Wrote: Dec 10, 2012 1:19 PM
No, I'm not talking about better access to birth control. I'm talking about girls not being sexually active before they're ready for it.

Sex outside of its proper context causes problems. Period. Abortion does NOT fix such problems; it replaces one problem with another.
BlackSheepPatriot Wrote: Dec 10, 2012 1:36 PM
Let's be honest, it's a lot easier to keep your legs closed and exhibit self-control than to worry about the consequences of risky behavior later.
ELViking Wrote: Dec 10, 2012 1:41 PM
uh.....ok. Not in the Fraternity I was in, but whatever floats your boat.....i guess.

I think this statement saddens me the most. Would I be correct in assuming that you mean a Greek organization? Most Greek organizations were founded on Christian principles. Again, an organization that could have demonstrated chilvarous and moral behavior as well as leadership did not?

I write these words chiefly to women and girls who have had an abortion. Still, it is my humble hope and honest prayer that anyone weighing this life-versus-death choice might also read them with an open mind and a hearing heart.

I share these truths in love. Some of you already know them. Others deny them.

Yet truths they remain.

It is through obedience to Christ and in the authority of His Spirit that I write you this letter. It may be difficult to read, but I pray you will read it.

First, let us dispense with the oft-asserted notion that,...
