I love how some conservatives think that the fact that some or most libs believe in abortion is an excuse for using hellacious speech against their fellow man.

Simple question: Where would a shy socially isolated loser obtain a high-cap magazine?

Cost/benefit analysis indicates that although all of those products are dangerous they also give people tremendous pleasure and are often times necessary for the preservation of life and transportation. I think old one-toothed willy can do without a 15 round clip. To address the general thrust of your argument I do believe laws like the one in New York regulating soda can be beneficial.

We should at least ban high round magazines in order to prevent such horrific carnage. If he had not used a semi-auto pistol with high round magazines the death toll would be significantly reduced. That's just plain fact. We should also disallow private non-licensed dealers from selling guns without background checks.

The one thing the resident gun nuts overlook is the fact that if semi-auto weapons were banned, then this particular tragedy would be significantly diminished. The gun nut will retort that laws such as banning semi autos won't stop the criminals. While this assumption at face is questionable due to the sizable number of criminals purchasing weapons through straw purchases, it's beside the point. The vast majority of these school shooters were not criminals at all. If we can reduce the number of fatalities in school shootings by tightening up the gun laws, then out of compassion we should do such a thing.

Non-licensed private dealers may sell firearms without a background check at gun shows.
