Ryan's "where everything's free but us" line was to me the outstanding one of everything in the convention speeches. It was diminished a little at the time by applause, I think. I'm pleased to see someone highlight it.

Amazon is Obama's Mistress

"The article was poorly researched and lacks a cohesive argument." That's a nice way of saying it. My own thought is someone's in the big publishing companies' pocket. There's absolutely no doubt they colluded with Apple to force the agency model and did it to enable them to raise ebook prices to try to save their print business. Officers of those companies wrote emails you don't have to be a lawyer to interpret saying exactly that. It's actually a surprise that the government under Obama would file this suit. Amazon is a company that makes a lot of money doing things right and giving customers what they want. I'd expect Obama to try to make Amazon give most of its profits to rivals to be "fair."

Do You Support “Anyone But Obama”?

I'm definitely an Anybody But Obama voter. IMO the biggest mistake we conservatives make is once any Republican is in the White House, we defend him, right or wrong. It's time we not just elect, but put pressure on our own. We did it over Harriet Miers, and we made Bush back down and give us a really good Supreme Court nominee instead. Why didn't we bring pressure like that to bear on Bush in other areas instead of going along with HIS overspending because he was our guy? For that matter he himself did it, refusing to veto anything a "Republican" congress sent him. Yes, I'll vote for a decent human being with a track record of success, and it will be the first time since Reagan my presidential vote won't require nose holding.
