IMHO, I think their might have been a dual message in Rep West's choice of menu items: I think he was signaling to the CBC that they were all "chicken", basically spineless, mindless drones who only spout the "progressive" ideology with no clear objective. Secondary to that was his pro- motion of Conservative principles & support of Christianity, an ideal & belief system that those in the CBC routinely excoriate & vilify.

Apparently Congressman Allen West sent the Congressional Black Caucus Chick-Fil-A six months ago, but with the latest controversy surrounding the company, the "incident" is being revisited.

A Democratic lawmaker says Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) offended the entire Congressional Black Caucus by delivering Chick-fil-A chicken and biscuits to their weekly meeting -- and then walking out -- when it was his turn to provide the group with a formal lunch.
