An Adventure on Seattle's New Light Rail

El38 Wrote: Nov 09, 2009 5:52 PM
Light rail projects have an honored tradition...to enrich the politicians and contractors. I never could understand who was going to ride the Seattle LR from SeaTac to downtown.

The Los Angeles to Las Vegas route...what a joke LOLOLOL!! Is it soooo necessary to promote the gambling industry? I guess so!!

Steele: White Republicans Are Scared Of Me

El38 Wrote: Nov 09, 2009 6:09 PM
These two birds are of the same feather! I like Michael Steele...very smart guy, very articulate but I don't agree with his moderate Republican rhetoric. This isn't a good 'ole boy frat party, the Republican party is fighting for it's life and...the life of a free country.

We need to support conservatives with a clear, unwavering message of "constitution--capitalism--individual rights".
She has an excuse for why all the girls are pregnant...Bush/Palin. She preaches abortion for birth control (Isn't that a bit expensive Velez-Mitchell?). She says there's not enough sex education in schools to teach the boys to put on a condom or the girls to insist on one. (There was NO sex education in MY school and I knew it).

Velez-Mitchell doesn't even mention the terrible cost of throwing God out with the bath water. Even though there are a lot of people who go to church and practice good morals, it's not enough. We can no longer put our thumbs in the dyke and stop the flow, it doesn't work...now we need a real stopper...some morals!

I agree with Rush Limbaugh!...that the Republican party needs to be reshaped to bring back the only philosophy that will win... ethical conservatism. The problem is that conservatives aren't the 'bitchy' types...we don't shout and yell over everyone else's voice.

When the teaparty bunch started yelling and shouting about the screwing we ALL are getting, we were branded troublemakers, obnoxious mob, threatening, terrorist...we were just using the same disgusting tactics the demos use ALL THE TIME and they didn't like it!

We need more than simply parsing phrases to win the hearts and minds of rational people, we need ethical conservative values stated clearly and not compromised. We're against abortion. We're against...
Without reading the article I tried to create a scenario of how condoms could reduce CO2. Here it is: If the condoms were pre-lubed maybe the action wouldn't generate so much heat. Hey, the guy wouldn't have to work so hard either so he wouldn't exhale as much CO2 as he would if he had to really work at it.

The UN ought to allocate lots 'O dough to study this.

New Stimulus on the Way

El38 Wrote: Oct 13, 2009 11:55 AM
The unemployed now constitute a huge voting block that is growing. You don't think the Obama administration isn't eagerly aware of this?

Stimulus II is needed to fund that big group of unemployed voters. I think somehow, someway, in 2010, the Democrats will be successful in convincing the unemployed how the Republicans will kick 'em all off of unemployment benefits if they elected.

One thing about the Republicans is that with a multi-voiced party, we'll never be able to defend THAT charge.

Beck: McCain Would've Been Worse

El38 Wrote: Sep 21, 2009 9:22 PM
A President McCain would kept the Republicans in the morass they've been in for the last 8 years, adrift with almost no identity. What do the Repubs stand for? Even now, there is not uniformity...some are big government, big spending fans and others are for reduced government, reduced taxes, reduded involvement. We would never have had a chance to find out who we really are had McCain won.

On the contrary, Obama was the BEST thing that could have happened to America. He is in the process of doing the impossible...bringing Republicans out of our hidden lairs and sowing the seeds that just may unite us down the road.

It took having Facism wiped in our faces for us Repub's to wake up and maybe unite and try to find a...

I believe that the reason Nobama is crying about Republican oopposition to his wishes is that Nobama has had everything handed to him. In just a few years, Nobama went from street agitator to President of the United States! No one has ever stood in his way!

Now that he's conquered the U.S. presidency, he's off to Copenhagen to establish his next well deserved position...President of the World!

Marco Rubio's Challenge to the Moderates

El38 Wrote: Jul 24, 2009 12:10 PM
Crist has been quite a disappointment and now he's likely to carry his smarmy politics to Washington. Rubio represents what the GOP ought to be espousing. Crist's moderate, sycophant politics will end this country's leadership and plunge us into mediocre status. Rubio needs to run a better campaign though. He's not doing a good job with it.
