Funny how it always seems to work that way. Good point, G-Pa Chaz.
Very good point. Also, with whom was she staying in Cleveland and who have they come in contact with since? The incubation period is between two and twenty one days, during which, even if asymptomatic, the infected person is contagious.

And all the while people are waiting years and years to be allowed to immigrate here legally, business owners who are here legally with green cards are threatened with deportation, and the children of legal immigrants who have spent most of their lives in the U.S. are routinely deported back to a country they know nothing about when they turn 18. No "dreamer" or deferred deportation for them. There are two sets of rules, or rather, rules for people who are here legally and no rules for people who are here illegally. I swear, there must be a class action suit here. If there was ever any unequal application of the law, it would be how our government bends over backwards to accommodate people who are here illegally but will refuse entry to people who have done what they were supposed to and will allow illegal children to remain here if they grew up here, but will deport legal children when they reach 18.

Gaza should go to Egypt and the West Bank to Jordan. Only problem is they won't take them.
Amen, Brother Marco! The Age of Aquarius is dead. We need to quit electing these tired old dino-hippies to office. To paraphrase a common saying of the time, don't vote for anyone over 60. If you were out groovin' to the new age of kum-ba-ya and demonstrating against "the man", please go back to your ashram and take your tired old peace, love and socialism ideas with you. They didn't work back on the commune. They're not working in our country now.

Hmm, I wonder if the algorithm is set up to calculate the nutritional value of the cart's contents after being ripped off by a street person?

Whoa! You're both right. Not all prepared foods are bad. The key is to make good choices. If your kids like cereal in the morning, choose Cheerios instead of Coco Puffs. That's 1 gram of sugars vs 12 grams. Considering that M&M's are 4.5 grams of sugars per serving, you can see that reading labels matters. Soda, diet or otherwise, should have no place in a child's diet. An occasional indulgence, fine. But you can't expect people to make good choices if they don't know what to look for. I suggest a few things. First, require that all new SNAP recipients take a nutrition and cooking class prior to the card being activated. Second. restrict what can be purchased with the card to eliminate purchases that don't fall within nutritional guidelines. The problem here would be keeping the federal food Nazis at bay so that people would have a wider choice of food. Not everyone is into kale. The last things? No fast food purchases with SNAP. Oh, and while they're there for the nutrition and cooking class, make them a photo ID. How anyone can exist in modern society without one is beyond me.
Maybe the administration is attempting to create the US equivalent of the Palestinian "refugee" camps. First, build up a large population of immigrant children on the border, 2- weep and wail about the "inhumane" conditions; 3 - say that the only way to resolve this "crisis" is to allow these children's parents to come to the US to care for them; 4 - get La Raza and others to agitate for the "normalization" of the status of the "refugees" ; 5 - demand that they be released and allowed expedited citizenship since they "can't return" to their violent home countries; 6 - dump as many of them as possible in Texas to make the largest state in the union a Democratic voting block.

Uncle Sam Needs DREAMers

Any DREAMER legislation should be extended to the children of LEGAL immigrants too. Why should the child of someone who went through proper channels, whose parents entered the country legally and work here legally, and who has lived in the US most of their lives be faced with deportation back to a country they don't have any connection with when they turn 18 or complete college while the children of people who broke the law are allowed to remain?
