Following NRA spokesman Wayne LaPierre's call for placing trained armed guards in each of the nation's public schools, gun control advocates went on the attack and refused to give the idea any meaningful consideration. We thought it might help to review the timeline of the shootings on 14 December 2012 to see if it might be a good idea.
I lived in Washington, DC when we had the toughest anti-gun laws in the country and the highest per capita gun murder rate in the country. I witnessed the truth of the saying: "When gun-ownership is criminalized, only criminals have guns." Unfortunately, since they are already criminals, they have no motivation to not have the guns. Only the law-abiding citizens are penalized by tighter gun laws. In whatever context it may arise and toward whatever justification, it is nonetheless true that black slavery did start in Africa. (Why? Where did dark-skinned people live!) Slavery as a cultural protocol, however, existed in every early civilization of which I am aware - race nor ethnicity notwithstanding. It still exists today - mostly in Africa
