Some comments I'm seeing miss the beauty of this effort. This is and absolutely must be "non-partisan". There will always be liberals and conservatives holding high office. What this initiative can do is put people in office that will work to serve the country's interest instead of devoting all their efforts to ensure they get reelected. Statesmen instead of politicians. This should appeal to Republicans and Democrats alike.

The bond is the critical component for this to have a chance. How long does it take for new members in Washington to turn their backs on pledges made once they "drink the kool-aid"? After experiencing the euphoric high of such incredible power, the primary goal is to ensure that they never lose that power, at any cost. Does Arlen come to mind?

This can actually put incumbents at a disadvantage for the first time in history!
