Jesus, Today's Church, and "Inequality"

So, are the welfare queens who relish their status and demand even more ‘poor’ ? And if so, are those who rise out of crushing poverty because of faith in their own salvation now ‘rich’. In KJV Matthew 5:3, Jesus blessed the poor ‘in spirit’, not the poor ‘in general’. Even in today’s modern translations, He blessed those who recognized they are spiritually helpless, so that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them, and that God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. The message was to those in spiritual poverty, and our commandment was to help them out of that, not perpetuate their poverty by throwing money at them while hoping they’ll go away. It’s the difference between giving a buck to a beggar on the street corner and stuffing a five spot into the bucket of a Salvation Army bell-ringer, who weeks before was probably that same street beggar. And yet the progressive arm of Christian faith continued to push the definition of ‘poor’ to mean lack of wealth to the point that now, they extend it even further to wealth inequality. How incredulous and how un-Christian …
>>> Our media in a nutshell. ... EXACTLY While Obama has a pen and a phone, the media has a word processor and a teleprompter that they wield over their readership like Obama does executive orders. But just like Obama's tools of tyranny, we've stopped buying the snake oil that they're selling. They only people 'consuming' the pages of PD are the inner-city bums of St. Louis who use it for a mattress on the sidewalks at night.

Mr. Chapman ... Your bleeding heart Chicago liberalism is showing. If there is no evidence of disease, how come observers, reporters, and even one congressman have been barred from the detention facilities ? Is it because, as you would probably say, we don't want to harm their precious little psyches by having preople probing into the plight, even after they have spent weeks under far wrose conditions. If you REALLY think that these are all just innocent children that need to be protected, not rejected, I hope that all 120,000 show up to TP your house next Halloween. In your way of thinking letting them enter illegally is just a harmless prank.
You are BRAVE Katie. Not only flying into CT, which has it's own set of perils for gun-owners, but competing in gun-grabbing Sen. Ed Markey's home state. I wonder what S&W's opinion is of his latest hair-brained legislation requiring 'James Bond' biometrics on all handguns ? http://www.markey.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/2014-0219_Handgun_Trigger_Act_.pdf
Next up after this SCOTUS win ... WHY the 2nd Amendment is there in the first place. Given Constitutional Law Professor Jonathan Turley's recent liberal epiphany, Obama will HATE that decision.

Every veteran diagnosed with PTSD in any form or severity will be listed as a 'committed outpatient'.
Gun trafficking is already a federal offense but ... what the DoJ will do is 'loosen' the definition of 'trafficking' to include face-to-face sales without the 'expanded background check', regardless of the type of firearm being transacted. You think that I jest ??? As Rush would say, "Don't Doubt Me".
