It it raises the costs of imports high enough maybe they will start making it here. Even if the price is higher people will have jobs making things again so they can afford to buy it at a higher cost. Plus jobs will created supplying the raw materials and delivering finished products. Higher costs for items made here instead of China is a win win proposition all the way around. Because the money stays here.

Actually that isn't true. I have shirts and other clothes that were made is Haiti, El Salvador, Mexico, Egypt, Thailand etc. but sadly none from the U.S. But I seldom buy anything made in China unless I absolutely need it and can't find it from somewhere else.
Don't get me wrong, the Fiscal Cliff, followed by implementation of Obamacare taxes and rules, and then later, in the year, another debt ceiling debate is dangerous as hell for the economy and stock market. But, there is also a new danger that will run amok on both in a designed plan to wreck the joint.
