do not ask me to explain WHY they believe the principle of equality under the law demands that essentially different types of human relationships be treated as though they are identical. i cannot answer why they believe that. in fact, they cannot tell you why they believer that.

I ask you to say why you think two consenting adult females marrying is different then another couple that cant have kids getting married ?

In fact I dont think you can explain that except to say "I dont like two women marrying"

there are at least three elements in the male female relationship that gives society a vested interest in encouraging and supporting the stable and committed male-female relationship.

none of these three elements exist in same-sex relationship. the same three reasons are also among the many elements of the male female relationship that make the male female relationship essentially different from same-sex relationships.

society has no similar vested interests in encouraging same-sex private relationships.

the second is that the committed male-female realtionship is the foundational unit of society.

the third is that only the male female relationship can provide a child with both a mother and a father.

these three elements of the male female relationship make it unique from all other types of human relationships.
