need we more proof that representative democracies in which the most power lies in the central government are disasters created by fools who, at least in economic matters, believe they have the knowledge, wisdom and independence to control an economy where billions of economic decisions are made every week of every year? until we create a governmental structure that only allows local government to place tax burdens on individuals, corporations and partnerships, we are destined for colossal failure in fulfilling our desire for a stable and prosperous society. you may love our constitution, and i will admit it was a document of genius for an 18th century document, but you must admit it has allowed us to come to our current situation.

There should be no direct taxation on any entity. All taxes should be excise, that would keep thrift in mind at all times and would also help to level the size of all government. Not to mention that a citizen would actually own property and not be leasing it all from some governmental body.

and no our Constitution did not allow us to come the this current situation. We are where we are because of the crooks in our govenment stacked the deck and made decisions against the Constitution. Just as right now we have a bus load of Czars in government who are not allowed to exist according to the Constitution. We also have ObamCare which is not allowed by the Constitution. Check out the 10th Amendment...

If the CONSTITUTION WORKS ( and it does ) then we do not need the government meddling with it.
Right now it is total greed and people who do not care because it IS OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY!
Unfortunately there is a need for failure because those who are in office do not listen to the people.
The reality is they don't care- until it is toooo late!

This is why there is no Charity, no Individual Welfare or any other handouts in the Constitution.
The Government is supposed to protect all freedoms of the people and their property. The government is not supposed to be in the redistribution business as that is Theft by fiat.

One day those in the TPP will get together and file a class action lawsuit against the government for redress of this unconstitutional theft of property. And they will win because there is no authority for this theft....
Now that the federal government is playing an ever larger role in the economy, a look at Washington's track record seems to be long overdue.

The recent release of the Federal Reserve Board's transcripts of its deliberations back in 2007 shows that their economic prophecies were way off. How much faith should we put in their prophecies today -- or the policies based on those prophecies?

Even after the housing market began its collapse in 2006, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said in 2007, "The impact on the broader economy and financial markets of the problems in the subprime market seems likely to...
