The crap you refer to is precisely why there is a second Amendment- to remind Public sector busybodies that this issue is none of their business, and at the time our Constitution was drafted, the argument would have been made more forcefully than in a bunch of Internet rants. Precisely! Our Constitution prohibits the existence of any priveleged class in the United States. Period. Privileged classes include holders of Driver's Licenses, Concealed Carry permits, and about a zillion other licenses and permits currently being sold by governments federal, state, and local. The idea of America is that each of us is Sovereign (a King or a Queen in our own right), and must only answer to God, not to any government. Government is OUR servant.
