Darrell Issa's Discovery Summer

How many of the companies receiving DOE "grants" other than Solyndra are now bankrupt or will be? Solyndra was only (yeah like the word only makes it better) a half billion dollars out of something like six to ten billion "public equity" dollars "invested." I think my new favorite "Discovery" is Hollywood Solis's big do at the DOL for the G20. If we ever see documents on this gala it will most likely put the GSA Las Vegas party to shame. No. No. My favorite "Discovery" is the collusion between PhrMA, the WH, and a powerful member of the Senate. No. No... The O'ist Administration the gift that just keeps giving.

His O'ness will only have to wait until after the election then all those jumping ship will "have more freedom" to work on their relationships with him.

That GOP candidates go to Liberty University to speak, or attend Evangelical gatherings always has been "litigated", and litigated as if it were a KKK rally with the Grand Wizard in attendance. The left knows they have not completely removed the stigma from what ever form of Marxism they are peddling and must keep it "off-limits" if they are to progress to the Utopia of the new socialist global order.

Col West showed himself to be anything but incompetent in both his service to the country in the military and now in Congress. Bobby Jindal's handling of the Hurricane Gustav crisis when FEMA was nowhere to be found was oders of magnitude better than the democratic governer's response during Katrina, and the current 6.8% unemployment rate in Louisiana despite Obama's shutting down offshore drilling also pretty much proves he is anything but incompetent as a manager. Try again golferdude.

What is missed by all who vote in a presidential contest is that one does not just vote for president and veep. One also votes for the 7,000+ positions in the the Plum Book: "United States Government Policy and Supporting Positions". Obama chose to fill the list with radical academics who taught him what to think. It is important to vet a candidate by those around the candidate as these are the folk who fill the positions in the Plum Book. http://www.opm.gov/ses/facts_and_figures/plumbook.asp It is the career appointees that concern me the most.

Sadly, though the Constitution prohibits the Federal Government from enacting such legislation it does not, nor can the Constitution, prevent a State, such as Colorado, from doing as proposed by One Colorado. Nor does the Constitution prevent a group from imposing a state religion on a single state.
I found one more reason to dislike the government ownership of an automobile manufacturer this weekend. In addition to the tax dollars being spent to sponsor the American Ethanol NASCAR Team, GM painted the number 48 car "Earth Day Green". Does anyone else get the irony in this? An "Earth Day Green" racer that gets 4 mpg? Has GM and the O'ist Green Movement already caught up with your increased carbon footprint strategy, John?
Need one more graph, entitlement spending as a percent of GDP.
