Correction: I said more people were killed by hammers and clubs than by rifles and shotguns. I should have said "rifles or shotguns". Remember, it is rifles the "assault weapons ban" would outlaw.

Earl,you're wrong.
the new version of the "Assault Weapon Ban" is going to cover semi-auto HANDGUNS too.
At first,I thought it was only if they can accept magazines of more than 10 rounds capacity, but upon reading it closer,it essentially bans all semi-auto handguns. It all depends on the "interpretation" of the law,and we know how that would turn out. The key wording is the adoption of ONE single "indicator" of being an "assault weapon"(instead of the former 2 or 3 indicators),and that is "interchangeable magazines".

Well, shucks - the rotating cylinder of a revolver could be considered a "magazine". Does that mean even antique revolvers will be "considered" assault weapons?

Hey earl, before they're done they'll be calling a shotgun an assult gun. Especially , if it has a flashlight attached to the fore grip and a flash suppressor on the end.

I read that by Pelosi's standards,ANY auto-loader,handgun OR rifle would be an assault weapon. BTW-has she surrendered HER guns and her CCW yet? I'll bet NOT.
In last week’s column, “Good Guys With Guns,” I wrote about the Mayan 14 incident, in which a shooter was halted by an off-duty cop. I referred to the cop as a “good guy,” and my readers were quick to issue a correction: the good guy was actually a girl. Lisa Castellano shot the wannabe James Holmes after he ran into the Mayan 14 theater and began firing—and managed to snatch away his gun.

I don’t know about you, but Lisa Castellano is my new hero.

I’ve written about women and guns before, when I was the lone conservative...
