Erik, I have a question: Do you have an idea why Jesus didn't just tell Peter that the soldiers were coming for him and he shouldn't interfere? I'm just curious.

The secret to salvation is this; God offers it through Jesus Christ and him only. All men are born hell bound for our sins. God gives us a way out of this and it can be said in one sentence. God commands all men to Repent, Acts Chap 17, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. John 3:16-21. Then get baptish to express your sincerity publicly that you mean it. Do this and you are saved from the Lake of Fire. Its that simple. God did not make this difficult, mankind has. Act 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

You must realize something; even though Jesus knew in advance the future and what was coming, (why because he was God in Carnal flesh) still had to allow history to play out or you wouldn’t not have a complete story of events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection. Every event has a specific purpose of important lesson for mankind.

I do not think that was really an answear, but rather An avoidance of one.Scripture tells us that Jesus "grew in grace and Knowledge",and He HIMSELF IS REPORTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE HIS OWN LIMITATIONS,"THE SON OF MAN KNOWTH NOT THE DAY NOR THE HOUR.."It is a denial of The INCARNATION TO not accept that He was totaly like unto us,yet without Sin-i.e.His humanity.

According to CBS, St. Louis, Pastor Rodney Francis, of the Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church, wants to keep kiddos away from guns, so this summer his church is planning a “toy gun buy back” program. How quaint. I kid you not: A. Toy. Gun. Buy. Back. Sounds like he’s setting up the next generation to be victimized slaves to bad people and policies.

Yep, Reverend Rodney “feels” he needs to do “everything (he) can to not allow our kids to get exposed to (guns) too early.” Aww ... ain’t that sweet? Hey, maybe he could also hand out during that...
