College Bound: The Changing Role of Parents

This move to no parental involvement in schools is also happening in our K-12 schools, It is encouraged at my children's school to drop your child off a the door of the school, to let the kids learn responceablility by walking to class by themselves on an open, unsecure, campus. I have had the school principal tell me that she is not there for the parents, just the kids. If I hear the rational of limiting the rights of parents in our kids eduction put as "it's all about the kids" I am going to throw up.
