I also believe Gov/Crist cooked up a backroom deal with Sen. Mel Martinez to resign ahead of time so that Crist could appoint a known candidate that would use all the same issues that Crist is for bur he knows has no chance of winning and when the final vote comes up, this
handpiked candidate will say his issues are the same as Crist's and tell all the voters he is bowing out of the race and to give his votes to Crist.

Crist says he will not appoint himself to take Mel Martinez' seat.

would like Gov. Crist to choose ex-Rep. E. Clay Shaw who was the past Mayor of Ft. Lauderdale for many years and then became a U.S. rep. for several decades in...
