Cruz, Rubio, and Paul do say many things that conservatives like, but they have not suggested a very compelling reason to stay with the very tired GOP. They should work very hard on that - very fast. Hint: Caving on most of their political base's issues is not reassuring.

Are you holding Rubio and Paul up as reasons TO stay with the party? The amnesty brothers? The main reason I would walk would be if either gained any more power and managed to get the horrible amnesty bill passed. It is the sellout of America and the main reason why today most are disgusted with the Party.

This sort of announcement came a bit earlier than most people probably expected, but it nonetheless confirms the political alliance between the Tea Party firebrand and the Senate Minority Leader is as strong as ever (via Ed Morrissey):

The Daily Caller has learned that Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul is endorsing Sen. Mitch McConnell for re-election in 2014, ending speculation that Paul would back a tea party challenge to the Senate minority leader.
