same for the GOP. if the gop were different they would be willing to meet in the middle as did Reagan. but then again, Reagan would have been primaried by today's standards. that's unfortunate.

Agree. but someone must meet in the middle or the nation will suffer. The bigger man always steps up and agrees to compromise. And the GOP is unable to do this. If they did they would probably take over both houses in '14

No one should be the least bit surprised; Reid's been talking about this for awhile, and even moved unilaterally to alter long-standing Senate rules to shield his members from difficult votes last year (mission accomplished).  Filibuster "reform:" Coming soon to a Senate near you?
