I've seen amazing students in the system with intelligence and unbelievable drive to overcome the odds. They are few but they exist. As bad as it looks, I don't believe evil can triumph.

Denial runs deep on the left. No one wants to accept the truth outlined in this article.
Wow, I never knew so many Dusty's were posting. I hadn't noticed any strange posts under my name, not that I wpent time looking.
Is there an underlying theory here that the effect of government spending on GDP growth is a constatnt and does not vary with how the money is actualy spent.. It would greatly simplify macro economic theory if opportunity costs did not need to be accounted for.
Of course the media wants to concentrate on issues damaging to Republican candidates. It is ther left that has the biggest problem making these into single issue campaigns. Treating these questions with respect is our candidates first mistake.

Palin Basically Tells Bachmann to Drop Out

It's pretty clear to me that the Republican establishment will support neither Bachman nor Palin for all their BS about the importance of defeating the Democrats. They're hoping to be the last ones eaten by the alligator. Meanwhile they piously beg and threaten to gain support for Mitt. The real question is whether Newt will be able to cajole or blackmail enough of their support to win in November. Of course the same goes for any other nominee we choose except Mitt. I recall when Obama was considered unelectable and we picked McCain for his wide appeal among moderates and independents. These brilliant people consistently underestimate the American People and overestimate themselves. There were good reasons they voted as they did in 8

Not a Ringing Endorsement

Considering sour current president, it is probably a good idea to take any Democrat running for president as a serious candidate. What makes no sense to me it that so many conservatives do not take Republican candidates as seriously. I don't expect moderates and independents to take our candidates more seriously than we do.
If the Democrats suceed in making Progressive their descriptive term of choice in the minds of the American People it will quickly fall into disrepute as did the term liberal. They discredit themselves and actions still speak louder than words. It just takes longer for them to be noticed.
