generation away from extinction.

I can remember this statement. I can remember thinking it'd take a whole bunch of generations for America to even thinking of losing her freedoms.

How foolish was I!

Great article, Mr. May

Mr. Galen says, "A semicolon in the tax code can save (or cost) a multinational corporation tens of millions of dollars every year."

Then Drik quotes, "power, without abuse, loses it's charm," which basically says: power, without abuse, loses it is charm."

sorry, couldn't resist -- it's and its is a pet peeve of mine.

great article and too true response, Drik

"What does it tell us that they are finding so many people in the West willing - indeed, eager -- to assist them?"

It tells everyone that we're willing to throw away our freedoms just so we don't offend anyone!!!

Freedon is NOT free, but I don't believe the majority of Americans are willing to fight for that freedom. Some are but most are not.

"Isn't there any recourse for the citizens of our country when the President breaks his sworn oath?"

like the justice department?? under Eric Holder??

Those oaths are just a formality...they have no teeth. Remember when Clinton lied under oath?? Most of America said it's just a civil trial and it's just about sex, so no biggie.

It's decency, honor, and integrity that keep people from breaking the oaths they take, which congress and the prez have none of.

When I first saw this, I chuckled on your play of "Too big to fail." But it's also sad because there's a lot of truth to it. It seems as individuals we ARE too small to succeed in making Washington listen to us. They're only open to entities that can add significantly to their coffers, like unions, or pave the way toward more power or riches for them as individuals.

The Tea Party is not perfect, but it gives us toosmalltosucceed people a much bigger voice.
