Are Conservative Catholics Unhappy With Pope Francis?

Some of these 'Catholics' wouldn't know Christ if he bit them on the rear. I can't believe people are using the phrase 'Overly compassionate.' Christ died on the cross for us and this guy is 'overly compassionate.' Please STOP getting your news on the Holy father from the cable media and go read his ACTUAL statements. Read the complete statements and meditate on it for a while. This dude isn't interested in your sound bite culture. He follows Christ path and I recognize that for some of you this doesn't work because he won't fit into your cultural wars mold.

If you knew Christ you wouldn't be Catholic. We're saved by faith alone in Christ alone guided by the Bible alone. We're not saved by infant baptism and obedience to church rules. People who pray to Mary or their other gods are violating the first commandment.

All of the Faith in the world will not save you. Only by the Grace of God are we saved. The Bible itself says it is not the teacher of faith. Here is where it says it
But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written.
On Mary there is also a Bible passage. Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

We don't pray to Mary or Gods. Mary and the saints only intercede our prayers. We only worship God, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. We are saved not by faith alone but by faith and works. We are only saved if we follow God's commandments and teachings. These are the basic differences between Protestants and Catholics. But all of us Christians have more beliefs in common then in differences. May God bless you.
