I used to always think it was rather odd that the per unit cost to build public housing exceeds the per unit cost to build luxury housing. Considering that taxpayer funded public housing has the cheapest appliance's, fixtures etc;. something don't add up here.

we also learned that when the feds put up housing for their employees at Yosemite National park, the costs were in excess of what one would pay for luxurious homes as well.
