How the Republicans Could Lose the House

The Republicans need to focus on three things. 1: Jobs - bring them back home even if it means you have to take drastic action with the treasonous American companies who make most of their money here but spend it over there 2: The economy duh. See above. 3: Dump that either anti-minimum wage thing or the low minimum wage thing. Do you have any idea how mean and petty that makes you look? Use some common sense for once. The absolute biggest issue with the lower income working poor is that disgustingly low level minimum wage is set at. Realistically it should be at least 12-15 an hour. Most of the people on food stamps work full time jobs duh.

If the minimum wage is set 12-15 an hour, there will be NO part time jobs for students......and NO full time jobs for the working poor.People will pay $8.00 for a Wendys, McDonalds or Burger King meal. ALL restaurants meals will increase by 15% - 20%. The minimum wage should be abolished.......workers could then be paid according to their performance and not another handout.

If we raised the minimum wage to $12 an hour, then anyone whose labor is worth less than $12 an hour will not be employed, because it would not be profitable for anyone to hire him.

Actually Duane, minimum wage should be $100/hour and then all poor people would disappear because even lazy people would be willing to work for $100/hour. And the price of houses should be capped at $100,000, so everyone could afford a decent house. And when you get the jobs all back here, being performed by workers making $100/hour, make it a law that everyone in other countries should have to buy our stuff, so GM et al could be assured of at least breaking even.

PS: Doctors and nurses could be excluded from minimum wage laws so everyone could afford decent health care.

You are absolutely correct on every count.

agree with you.1- jobs overseas because companies are being forced out of U.S. by egregious overreach and regulatory strangulation

The Republican Party is in danger of another big loss. This time, they could lose the House of Representatives, giving the Democrats control of both chambers as well as the White House.

The Democratic Party cannot possibly achieve this victory on its own. We are experiencing the slowest recovery in our nation’s history. Economic growth is tepid. The job numbers are awful. Millions of people are out of work precisely because of the policies of the Obama administration.

Ask any employer, any banker, any investor — regardless of party affiliation — and you are likely to hear the same stories. ObamaCare...
