Homosexuality is universal to all human life and origin. Christianity isn't. Homosexuality has a biological origin, and isn't taught or acquired. Christianity, and religious belief IS. It's not natural to be so hostile and distrustful of gay people, one is taught to be so from books whose origins are derived from barbaric, ignorant, misogynist and superstitious cultures. It makes more sense to give gay people the benefit of ANY doubt, they after all, endure and can still speak for themselves. The people who wrote the texts that indict homosexuality are dust. But I guess only very thoughtful and compassionate people have considered that.

There are many people today who despise conservative religious beliefs, but they are quick to say, “We don’t want to restrict your religious freedoms in any way. Just keep your beliefs in the church.” What they fail to realize is that the church is not a closet, and it is our private beliefs that fuel our public acts. Shouldn’t it be this way?
