Defenseless Enviro-Thugs Go on Offense

This is a twofer, or maybe even a threefer.

First, the "climate scientists" are exposed as a bunch of incompetent, politically motivated hacks.

Then, the news media report nothing on this huge scandal, but people are finding out anyway. So we have transparency, just not the kind the media envision. One more nail in their coffin.

Finally, our government is pulling out all the stops to adopt policies based on the fraud. That'll end badly for them.

It doesn't get much better than this.

You may want to stock up on the Sherry. I have a feeling you'll be needing it.
If we were debating this issue from a logical point of view. But we're not. It also assumes that the focus of this effort is the climate, but the real focus is on control.

Whether the Saudis continue to pump oil is irrelevant to the alarmists; what matters is the control they're given over the worlds populace, particularly here in the good old USA.

The petty emails aside, the big story here is that the data, programs, and results from same are c**p. This should be used to pound the true believers unmercifully.

The "scientists" at the heart of this know one thing for certain; as this scandal grows legs, there's going to be a huge incentive to focus on the emails where "scientists" are behaving badly, to divert...

Cleaning Out the Climate Science Cesspool

Rick from Mn. Enjoying your attempts to put the onus on non-believers, but I think the burden of proof is with your side now. Keep sputtering, but it'll do you no good. This is a huge story, and it won't be kept under wraps, as much as many would like to.
Yeah, President Bush would be better than what we have now. Bush had some good points, and I think he is personally a good man.

But he was poison for Conservatism, or Libertarianism, in this country. As Clinton destroyed the Democrats, Bush did the same with the GOP. He had a lot of help from other GOPers.

I think Mr Rich is making a simple point - the GOP will likely make major gains in 2010 simply for not being Democrats. But that's not good enough.

Obama is a walking disaster, but he's not solely responsible for the mess this country is in. Bush had a lot to do with it, and that can't be denied.

Anyone who thinks our problems will be resolved by going back to the way things were in the early part of this...

The Silver Lining of the Left in Power

balanced #5 - thanks for your post - always good for a chuckle. I hope you and others like you sincerely believe what you wrote. It'll make things that much easier for the rest of us.

Jerimiah #6 - Yep. The GOP hasn't exactly been a force for sanity, and I'm afraid that we will get more DEM lites elected because they're "not Democrats". Oh well, that may be the best that can happen short term, but in the longer view that won't make it.

vonryansexpress #9. I don't think the people really "know" the left, most haven't paid much attention. They're starting to see it now, but whether they recognize it as such is questionable. Most probably see this as a bunch of idiots rather than some nefarious political scheme at work....

A Letter to Sarah

she's smarter than everyone thinks.

What I do know is this: if she somehow manages to cop the GOP nomination, she will be an extremely formidible candidate.

The amount of BS she would have to wade through to get that nomination would be incredible. There are so many forces aligned against her that almost no one could overcome them. I wouldn't want to face anyone in an election who overcame those kind of odds just to gain the nomination.

Haven't seen her whining, but maybe I just missed it. I think she did play the Letterman thing perfectly. Any other GOP Pol would have accepted his invite and yukked it up with him on the stage.

She took advantage of his stupidity and forced an apology on him. That must have killed him, but he did it. The press, etc. deserves no respect from her, and I'm glad she doesn't fake it.

Your second point is correct. If she intends to run in 2012 she needs to become an expert on the issues. I don't know her intentions, but I think after four years of WH cluelessness people will be very reluctant to elect anyone who needs a lot of OJT.
Thanks for your lucid argument - really clears things up.

I don't know who they think they're fooling, and I don't know how they think anything good can come from this subterfuge.

This is a story that is very visible, and the Gov't and News Organizations bending over backwards to deny the obvious is very apparent to most everyone.

Not many are buying the spin, so the question is, do they know that (I hope they're that smart, anyway)? And if so, why do they go out of their way to make themselves look ridiculous?

Maybe they're trying to convince themselves?
